So You Think You Can Dance?!?
I love the show of FOX "So You Think You Can Dance." It's been one of my favorites for a long time. I look forward to it every summer. Well Cara and I were watching it the other night, and when one of the dances started, both the kids started dancing all around the living room. It was so cute. The song probably wasn't the most appropriate thing for a 4-year old and a 1-year old to listen to, but they loved the beat and were dancing their little hearts out!
What a smarty-pants!
We had the missionaries and our friends Devin & Ela over for dinner last Sunday. After the missionaries left, we were playing and Annabelle was sitting with Ela in her lap reading books. Annabelle really loves this book we have called "What's up, Duck?" Ela was pointing out the yellow ducks and blue ducks, and Annabelle started saying the words, "yellow" and "blue." It was so cute, and so unexpected, because she hasn't really been saying too many words lately. Anyway, Ela was asking her where the yellow duck was and where the blue duck was, and Annabelle pointed right to them!!!!! It was so cute, and so amazing! I don't know if she really knows the colors, but it was cute, nonetheless!
Swimming Lessons
For the past two weeks, Bryson has been taking swimming lessons from Miss Amy & Miss Katherine(Amy's assistant)! He has gone Tues-Friday for two weeks, and I am amazed at how far he's come. He's been so good and listened to Miss Amy and tried so hard to learn. We are very proud of him. Here are a few pics and a little video for you to enjoy!
This video was from the Thursday before his last Friday lesson. He was working so hard and was so cute...when Miss Amy would ask him to come out to her, he would say, "OK, let's do it!" He said it every time....it was so cute. He really loved his lessons and working with Miss Amy!

The Greatest Show on Earth!
So we went to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus on the 4th of July. We had a great time, and the kids loved it! We went with our friends, Dana & Jason, and their three kids. We enjoyed a great 4th of July, beginning with ward breakfast at a member of the church's house, then walked across the street for the City of Schertz parade. We waved our flags, held our windmills in the wind, blew bubbles, and had a blast! Here are a few pics from our fun-filled day.... We are so grateful for our country and for the freedoms we enjoy. Thank you to all the amazing men and women serving our country, especially to my 2 cousins, Brad & Sean. We love you!
Bryson's souvenier! He loved it - we plan to take it off the stick and tack it up in his room! Fun...
Hairbow flowers
So, I've been exploring my "crafty" side and have been having a blast creating some hair clippies and flower clippies for Annabelle! Cara's helped me a bit, and has made a few for herself as well! Doesn't she look cute?? I'll post more on the other flower clippies and more pics later....promise! but, just wanted to share these few cute pics while I had them handy!
Cute, right?? I'm pretty proud of them and am having a blast making them. They are SO easy and it's so rewarding to create something so cute with so little effort! more pics to come...
A full and fun Saturday!
I've heard of these free child workshops at Lowe's & Home Depot, but have never been to one. My friend Dana invited us to go along with her to the Lowe's Build and Grow Workshop and we loved it!! So, Dana & her son Colby, and Bryson & me, along with Annabelle ventured to Lowe's on a Saturday morning and made some adorable pirate ships! Arrrr, mateys! Then we made a few stops for errands, came home to relax a bit, then headed to Malibu Castle for a friend's birthday party! For my hometown friends....it was Alyssa (Fisk) De La Cruz's daughter Jordyn!! Fun, fun. So, here are some pics from that fun-filled Saturday.
The boys building thier pirate ships!
Annabelle being "patient" in her stroller! :)
Bryson proud of his finished product, complete with a plank that slides out....very cool!
Dana & Colby
Chillin in the van...having a snack while Dana & I took turns running into Walgreens.
The awesome chairs I scored at Walgreens for $3.49 each! And the sweaty, tired kids after spending about and hour at a garage sale down the street while Mom looked a kids clothes and scored a bunch of great stuff for Bryson AND Annabelle! Wahoo....gotta love garage sales.... clothes for 50 cents each!

Sleeping Baby = So sweet!
I love any "sleeping baby" photos I can get of Annabelle, because they are few and far between! We keep her bedroom door locked from the inside during nap and bedtime, so Bryson doesn't disturb her when he wakes up. So, it's rare that I get to snap a pic of her still sleeping! So here are a few for you to enjoy!
Joe McDermott music show!
A few weeks ago, we went to the New Braunfels Library for a fun music show! Joe McDermott, and awesome children's musician from Austin came to perform and entertain the kids. He is so much fun, and I really enjoy his music....it's great for entertaining Bryson in the car! Here's a pic, and little video. The song he's singing is "I am Baby," and the lyrics are, "I am baby, I am trouble, and I can walk!" Kinda fitting Annabelle is wandering around doing her own thing during the show!
