I've heard of these free child workshops at Lowe's & Home Depot, but have never been to one. My friend Dana invited us to go along with her to the Lowe's Build and Grow Workshop and we loved it!! So, Dana & her son Colby, and Bryson & me, along with Annabelle ventured to Lowe's on a Saturday morning and made some adorable pirate ships! Arrrr, mateys! Then we made a few stops for errands, came home to relax a bit, then headed to Malibu Castle for a friend's birthday party! For my hometown friends....it was Alyssa (Fisk) De La Cruz's daughter Jordyn!! Fun, fun. So, here are some pics from that fun-filled Saturday.
The boys building thier pirate ships!
Annabelle being "patient" in her stroller! :)
Bryson proud of his finished product, complete with a plank that slides out....very cool!
Dana & Colby
Chillin in the van...having a snack while Dana & I took turns running into Walgreens.
The awesome chairs I scored at Walgreens for $3.49 each! And the sweaty, tired kids after spending about and hour at a garage sale down the street while Mom looked a kids clothes and scored a bunch of great stuff for Bryson AND Annabelle! Wahoo....gotta love garage sales.... clothes for 50 cents each!
Jordyn with her gift from us....notice the little flower hairclips I made for her!
Yumm....Pizza!
Aunt Cara came along and was a huge help and we had tons of fun!
It was soooo hot, though!
It was a bit sunny.....
Bryson's first time mini-golfing and he LOVED it!
Bryson and Fabian...Alyssa's son "playing" on the motocycle video games
Bryson scored with the tickets and got a few fun prizes before we left....thanks for a great time, Alyssa!
